In 2023, the Julius Nyerere Leadership Centre (JNLC), together with its partners and stakeholders, paid tribute to His Excellency Dr. Aziz Ponary Mlima, the High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Uganda, in recognition of his invaluable support and contribution to the Centre’s growth and mission.
The publication reflects on Dr. Mlima’s role in strengthening the ideals of Pan-Africanism, promoting Kiswahili as a language of unity, and supporting numerous initiatives aimed at preserving the legacy of Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere. It also highlights the partnership between JNLC and the Tanzanian community in Uganda through dialogues, cultural events, academic engagements, and celebrations that fostered leadership and regional cooperation.
