Theme: The African Dimension In International Debates
Julius Nyerere Leadership Centre (JNLC) was glad to take part in the Kampala Geopolitics Conference held from October 17 to October 18, 2023, under the theme: “The African dimension in international debates.” This two-day academic event fostered discussions on current geopolitical questions and trends, bringing together experts from Uganda alongside thought leaders and policy experts worldwide for engaging participatory debates. The Kampala Geopolitics Conference, organized in collaboration with the Embassy of France, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Makerere University, UN Women, the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs (IRIS), and the Alliance Française Kampala, provided a platform for insightful dialogues.
Dr. Nansozi K. Muwanga, Executive Director Julius Nyerere Leadership Centre (JNLC), contributes to an exciting discussion on the topic “The New Scramble for Africa – Emerging Geopolitics and International Relations in Africa.” The conference featured eight different panels, each exploring vital topics:
