The 2023 Bulletin of Activities chronicles a transformative year in which the Julius Nyerere Leadership Centre (JNLC) expanded its role as a platform for leadership development, cross-generational dialogue, and regional cooperation. Through a diverse range of initiatives, the Centre convened scholars, policymakers, youth leaders, diplomats, and development partners to address issues central to Africa’s future.
Among the year’s milestones were the Presidential Lecture Series, the Ekyooto fireside conversations featuring distinguished Pan-African voices, the launch of the Let’s Talk Series on student mental health and wellness, and the annual Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Symposium, which examined the opportunities and challenges of building a borderless East African region. The Centre also strengthened partnerships aimed at advancing youth leadership, Kiswahili promotion, and regional integration.
More than a record of activities, the bulletin reflects JNLC’s continued commitment to nurturing principled leadership and creating spaces where ideas, experiences, and generations converge to shape Africa’s future.
