Despite the disruptions occasioned by COVID-19, Makerere University under prof. Nawangwe’s leadership, continued on a steady course of transforming into a research led university in line with the university’s strategic plan (2020-2030). in 2020 the university’s publications crossed the 1,000 mark and the number currently stands at more than 15,000 peer reviewed publications per year.
